What we do
We Rise by Lifting Others is a service organization operating in the community to create connections that make a difference! We Rise by Lifting Others connects gently used items with people in need; connects food resources with those who are hungry; initiates campaigns and drives to meet specific urgent needs; provides pets with pet sitters/walkers and generally, offers help that gives hope!

Shawn O'Rourke, President of We Rise by Lifting Others is an award winning community neighbor who is making a difference to people and pets throughout the Metro Providence/Cranston/Warwick area.
On On Sunday Nov. 1, Ms. Shawn O’Rourke was the recipient of the Sister Dorothy Ann Finnegan Award for Compassionate Care and Faithful Service. The evening celebrated 70 years of St. Martin DePorres Center service with its Anniversary Gala—“Honoring Our Legacy, Embracing Our Future.”
Urgently Needed:
Currently, We Rise by Lifting Others is looking for much needed summer items. Kids swims suits, shorts and summer tees; water toys and outdoor games would be especially helpful. Sunscreen, bug spray and anything to keep people comfortable and safe also comes in handy.
Think about all of the things you and your family need to have fun, be comfortable and safe throughout the summer and hot weather months.
You Can Help!We Rise by Lifting Others organizes and delivers but it's really all about neighbors who offer donations of clothes, food, blankets, socks, money, small furniture and household goods. Sign up on our mailing list so you can know what's going on.
